Annie Pauline “Polly” Knox Whitley

Annie Pauline “Polly” Knox Whitley, age 81 of LaVergne, TN, passed away Monday Jan. 22, 2018.

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Wilson and Annie Irene Hoover Knox. Mrs. Whitley was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Wayne Knox and a sister Emma Jane Hicks.

Mrs. Whitley is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Robert Whitley; son, Robert Paul Whitley and his wife Sharon of Smyrna, TN; three grandchildren, Elizabeth “Liz” Cumberland and Ashley Tomlinson both of Murfreesboro, TN, and Paul Randall Whitley of Smyrna, TN; four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Elizabeth, Ava, and Reece.
